Height: 2 to 3 feet
Flower/fruit: .25 inch white flowers in compact heads clustered at the top of tall stems; five very small petals  
Flowering Season: Summer into fall
Foliage: Rough, thick leathery leaves; 2 to 3 inch basil leaves have long stalks and rounded teeth; upper stem leaves are sessile and have sharp teeth; stems and leaves have short, appressed hairs
Site: Margins of deciduous woods, old fields
