Stanly County 4-H is piloting two new 4-H clubs beginning in February of 2019. Both clubs will meet monthly at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center.

The first club is focused on Family and Consumer Science. It is open to youth ages 13-18 years of age and will teach youth about cooking, nutrition, food safety, sewing, and financial management. Meetings will be held monthly on a Monday from 4 until 5 p.m.

The second club is focused on coding and computer science. Using an innovative piece of technology called a “Pi-Top,” youth will code a laptop to perform a number of functions. This club is open to youth ages 9-14 and will meet monthly on a Monday from 3:45 until 5 p.m.

If you or your child are interested in participating in these clubs in the 2019 year, contact Stanly County 4-H to secure a spot. Email kacie_hatley@ncsu.edu or call (704) 983-3987.
