Get ready for our NC Safe Plates for food managers training in June! Safe Plates is a food safety training course developed by NC State University. Certification is based on passing an ANSI-approved exam from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. Passing this exam satisfies the FDA Model Food Code requirement for a certified food protection manager. This is a comprehensive program for food service managers and supervisory staff in restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and childcare facilities, and other food handling establishments.

Dates of Training
June 3 & 4, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Includes a 1-hour lunch)

Test Day: June 5, 2019, from 9 a.m. to noon

Cost: $150  (Includes books, handouts, and exams)

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, as well as a 1-hour lunch break. Please complete and print the registration form. Check or cash payment is accepted. Make checks written out to “N.C. Cooperative Extension of Union County.” Mail or deliver completed registration and payment to:
