Description: Summer camp is one of the most effective programs offered through 4-H. Each year we travel to either Millstone 4-H Camp in Ellerbe, NC or Betsy Jeff Penn 4-H Camp in Reidsville, NC. In Summer 2019 we will be traveling to Millstone 4-H Camp. 4-H’ers can fund their trip with scholarship money from presentations/project record books, helping sell greenery in November, and writing sponsorship letters to local businesses. This camp is 6 days and 5 nights. Each camper is in a cabin with other kids their age and gender and highly-trained staff members. The 4-H agent is always on-site as well to make pictures, check on youth, and communicate with parents. Youth participate in a wide array of activities including archery, arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing, high ropes, hiking, and more!
