There are so many ways to modify recipes to make them just as delicious (or more) and much more nutritious. The first step is to consider what is "healthy"... more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, low fat dairy, and healthy fats. Next you look at a recipe and determine what swaps and/or additions can be made to decrease the saturated and trans fats, the sodium, and the sugar and to increase the vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
