Stanly County Cooperative Extension is pleased to welcome Alexandria Ruth as the summer intern for 2025. Alexandria, originally from Thomasville, North Carolina, is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Agricultural and Environmental Systems with a concentration in Agribusiness and Food Industry Management at North Carolina A&T State University. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in December 2024 .
Throughout her education, Alexandria has gained valuable experiences both inside and outside the classroom. One of her most notable experiences was completing an internship at Jerome Davis Rodeo Ranch, where she learned about livestock care, agricultural operations, and community involvement. She has also worked with Cloer Family Vineyards, where she assisted with animal care and gained experience working with horses. These hands-on experiences have helped her build a strong foundation in agriculture and rural outreach.
During her time with Stanly County Cooperative Extension, Alexandria will assist with a variety of projects and programs. A large part of her focus this summer will be supporting social media outreach efforts. She will help share updates, promote events, and highlight the work being done across the county. Alexandria will also assist with 4-H youth development programs, helping with summer activities, club events, and other educational opportunities for local youth.
Her passion for agriculture and working with the community is clear, and the Extension team is looking forward to the ideas and energy she brings to the role. With a strong background in agriculture and a genuine interest in helping others, Alexandria is expected to be a great asset to the team this summer.
Stanly County Cooperative Extension is excited to have her on board and looks forward to seeing the positive contributions she will make over the next few months.
