Summer Blast
Summer Blast is a popular series of youth programs offered by Stanly Cooperative Extension each summer for 5-18 year olds. Programs are created and led by Extension Agents and subject matter experts from the community.
Due to the work of fundraising organizers and supporters, all Summer Blast programs have been offered FREE of charge since 2024!
How to register for Summer Blast
Step 1
Ensure your 4-H enrollment is up to date by visiting 4HOnline.com
Step 2
Browse the 2025 Summer Blast class listing and choose appropriate programs.
Step 3
-Log into 4HOnline.com.
-Click “view” beside your child’s name.
-Click “events” from the left side menu.
-Click “Register for a new event” at the top right.
-A list of programs available to your child’s 4-H program age will appear. (Individual program names in the Summer Blast series look like this: “Summer Blast – All About Roots!” or “Summer Blast – Kids in the Wild.”)
-Choose a program you know your child can attend and click “next.”
-Click “Start Registration”
-Complete questions & click “next”
-Ensure health form is up to date & click “next”
-Complete consents & click “next”
-Finish
-If you would like to register your child for another Summer Blast program, start the process again.
Things to note:
- Youth must be enrolled in 4-H at 4HOnline.com to participate in Summer Blast or other 4-H activities. Youth must be between the ages of 5 and 18 on January 1st of the current calendar year to enroll in 4-H.
- Do not register for programs if you are unsure your child will be able to attend.
- You will receive an email for each successful registration. A waitlist is automatically populated, and you will receive additional correspondence if you are placed on the waitlist.
- Make sure to read the descriptions in advance to see where the program is offered, what your child needs to bring, and date/time details.
- Stanly County 4-H aims to provide summer learning opportunities for as many young people as our capacity allows. Please be sure to notify Extension staff ASAP if you need to cancel your registration so that another child may attend.
- Stanly 4-H conducts annual Spring Fruit Plant and Holiday Greenery Sale fundraisers to support our programming. Please consider supporting these fundraisers.
- You can make a monetary donation to Stanly 4-H any time HERE.
